Gov. Steve Beshear recently joined community and company officials in Murray to announce an investment of more than $35.5 million by Briggs & Stratton Corporation, a manufacturer of air-cooled gasoline engines for outdoor power equipment.
The company is planning significant renovations over the next three years that will allow them to sustain a competitive global market position and ultimately retain its more than 640 full-time employees.
